The sugar monomers (Beta Glucose) were probably modified at the Golgi apparatus within the plant cell.

During Cytokinesis, Golgi vesicles (budded off from the Golgi Apparatus) move towards the equator of the cell to release its contents that would form the cellulose cell wall. The membrane of the Golgi Vesicles then fuse to form the cell membrane.

Cellulose is made by cellulose synthase at the cell wall

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

yeah, cellulose synthase is anchored to the plasma membrane.
