human or murine fibronectin for coating?

Post by amaterasu » Wed Feb 01, 2006 1:35 pm

I'm working with mouse cells and need to coat the film on which my cells are grown with fibronectin.
When looking for an adequate supplier, I found that murine fibronectin is about double the price of human fibronectin, so naturally I'd prefer to purchase human FN.

My particular question is, can I use human or murine FN for simple coating procedures? The differencebetween human and murine in such "unspecific" applications is not quite clear to me...

Thanks in advance for your answers!
