Could any one tell me that computer programs are living thing OR not. If not then why

Really? :shock: Tell me which ones they are. You must fulfill the definition of each characteristics biologically ok, and not just justify it by the word literally because we are talking about living thing regarding to Biology :)

can anyone not think that software alive?

software just like "the soul" of hardware. but it is not alive...
you can say it is alive at others perception but in biology they are not.
