AGGF1 improves angiogenesis after a heart attack

A new study from researchers at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China and the Cleveland Clinic in the United States has shown that a protein called AGGF1 may treat acute heart attacks via autophagy. Given that coronary artery disease (CAD) and myocardial infarction (MI) are the leading causes of sudden death in the world, the finding is of great importance.
