According to the preparation method or the source of the tumor animal model, there are three categories:

1 spontaneous tumor animal model

Advantages: the pathogenesis and mechanism are similar to those of a human.
Disadvantages: quantity and type are very limited, which can not meet the needs of the experiment.

2 induced tumor animal model

Advantages: the pathogenesis and mechanism are similar to those of a human.
Disadvantages: almost all the inducing agents on the human body have great toxicity and the experimental personnel exist greater risk; experimental cycle is very long, and successful induced time is inconsistent. We can not do a batch of experiments under the same conditions.

3 transplanted tumor animal model

Advantages: in the same conditions, large volume of transplantation can be achieved. The experimental cycle is shorter, and the treatment mechanisms of animals and humans are similar. It has become the most widely used method of modeling.
