When we get older and older, the nearest diatance we can se become longer and longer ...

Why?

If this happened, can it decrease the degree of short-sightness?

then he developed hypermetropia and his relative myopia became around zero

Take note that you can also have miopia and presbyopia at the same time

You have said that presbyopia because the lens is less elastic

but... 1.)can it caused by weaken of muscle which control the thickness of len ???

And although we can have myopia and presbyopia at the same time

2.) But.... can it decrease the degree of shortsightness??

No one could be true or false. It's 50%-50%. Without any reference, i guess we can say plausible
