First you need to pick an organism, there's billions to choose from. :wink:

then you classify it taxonomicaly ie
kingdom
Phylum
Class
Order
Family
Genus
Species

but really its only the last 2 that matter

Find the scientific name for "butterfly". As much as I remember butterflies are Lepidoptera. (May be wrong, I haven't taken enthomology yet. :) )
Try to find others too. ( use google)
For a start----> Kingdom: Animalia
Go on.

And if you ask for my opinion:
Note that "butterfly" is a general term, there are many genus and species, I don't think you can do all the classification properly. Try "human" or maybe you can choose a plant.

The professor told us not to use human, nor a plant. And no butterfly was not given, i just chose it, i couldnt think of anything else?

Any suggestions?

Try cat. :) ( I mean the small one-Genus: Felis)

PS: You can get lost in insects, that's why I suggested you to use something different. :)
