TB screening

Post by blankscreen » Sun Jan 15, 2006 4:55 pm

Hello, everyone

I am volunteering at a health center and they said that all volunteers must undergo a TB screening. I know TB means Tuberculosis, but I want to know how they will test me? What does a TB screening entail?

PS. I live in the southern US, if it makes any difference.

thanks!

THey stick you with a syringe that contaINS some liquid that detects TB. Then three days later if the place they stuck you is red and swollen still they will run further tests.
