anti-hsp70 antibody

Post by w19910411 » Wed May 13, 2015 2:37 am

Hello,

I've been trying to detect inducible hsp70 expression in an insect (blueberry maggot) following heat stress. So far, I've been only been able to detect constitutive hsp70, using SDS-PAGE and WB, and I'm pretty sure I've exposed the insects to sufficient heat stress...
I'm currently using clone BRM-22 from Sigma, and I wonder if you have any suggestion of other antibodies I might try to detect inducible hsp70. The blueberry maggot is somewhat related to drosophila, so i guess antibodies that detect inducible hsp70 expression in drosophila may work.

I' once used one of monoclonal Ab against Hsp70 from Creative Diagnostics and it definitely detects inducible hsp70 even though it is not mentioned on their catalog, I did not come across one against drosophila Hsp 70 but you may want to contact them just in case...

For suggestion of other antibodies, you may consult here: http://www.creative-diagnostics.com/Antibodies.htm.
