Would boiled blood be usable as a growing medium?

Post by oxi » Tue Feb 03, 2015 3:32 pm

Hello,

Just wondering if I could use boiled blood as a growing medium. I believe growth factors, hormones, etc. aren't destroyed by boiling. But then why is serum purified by only centrifuging and filtering? Something doesn't tick here. So tell me, can I use boiled blood?

Thanks
