recommended books?

Post by Alex2308 » Mon Oct 06, 2014 7:27 pm

hi
i'm 17 and want to start reading books about biologie, genetics, mikrobiology and everything that's to know about it.
so i'd need some basic books or links (but i prefer the books) about these topics. they should be easily understandable and some graphics.
i want to become a biology student in about 2 years and just want to get started with it.
so please recommend some books.

yours,

Alex

well, you might want to add your location to specify what's available for you.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

Not a textbook but it helped me a lot to understand microbiology:
The other end of the microscope from Elmer W Koneman.

It gives a lot of detailed information (composition of the cell wall etc) in a story-context and is really easy to read and understand. And much more fun than textbooks :)
