5' LTR sequece

Post by aguy » Mon Jul 07, 2014 10:02 pm

Hi,

I want to check the 5' LTR sequence of my plasmid. I will like to confirm that it is a hybrid 5' LTR and not a wild type HIV-1 5' LTR. Can someone pls guide me on how I can evaluate this?

Best,
John

You may try to find comparable restriction endoneucleases for wild type 5'LTR.
Hybrid 5'LTR generates different
size RE digest products.

well, are there many different wild types out there? I mean, why not sequencing to find it out?
