If you need more help on this, just ask.

- This is important, mostly key to understanding.

A solution that has a higher concentration of solutes than that in a cell is said to be hypertonic. This solution has more solute particles and , therefore, relatively less water than the cell contents.

osmosis takes place in the proximal tubule in the nephrons

--> ion channels in the apical membrane transport ions due to a concentration gradient created by the Na/K-ATPase in the basolateral membrane.

This yields a osmotic gradient between tubule lumen and interstitium and water diffuses through the tight junctions via osmosis.

ok for osmosis, one is.

when ur in the tub. water splashes against your skin cells. and the small molecules get in little bits at a time.

deffusion heres one.

after you drink alchohole it then mixes in with your blood stream (aka, deffusion)

i just finished studying that stuff so i hope it can help!
