The pulmonary circuit transports blood from the heart to the lungs and back to the heart. The systemic circuit transports blood to every other location of the body (i.e. brain, limbs, etc.) and then back to the heart.

one major difference: the blood pressure in the pulmonary circuit is much lower than in the systemic circuit.
