Post by sky-raptor » Mon Dec 26, 2005 12:58 am

I have a Biology project, where I have to show the process of DNA replication, and I need your help! How do I show the unziping process with this DNA molecule:

Thanks

DNA-polymerase with DNA-helicase that unzips the DNA-basepairs.

This is normally how my professors and the books show it:

I am sure the important things to show are the

- helicase - which serves as an unzipper by breaking the bonds between the two DNA strands.
- RNA primer - attached to the DNA by DNA primase.
DNA polymerase - adds base pairs onto the template

Does that help?

Nothing lasts forever...so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, take chances & never have regrets because at one point what you did was what you wanted.
