I'd eat it if I was starving.

*screams in frustration* Green Peace always mess things up!

What if genetically enhanced grain whipe out the ordinary grain? Who cares? More and better food is always good. We have used genetical engineering since the late stone-age by breeding livestock which suit us better.

Remember before the 19th century? Starvation. We could never be sure if we had enought food. And over 90% of the population was involved in farming. Now? Most wealthy nations have less than 5% farmers. How? One word: NH4

Untill the discovery that we could make fertilizers from water and air a farms size was limited to the number of animals it had. Now we have an almost endless flow of food. We even overproduce. (Damn the French farmers draining money from the EU)

Still there is starvation in the world. That's because the farmers in the starving countries doesn't have fertilizers or dry earth or malaria ect. ect.

Why don't we (people of the rich world) share our endless amount of grain and meat? Well shipping food cross the globe is no good long-term solution and most people are too lazy to care about poor people in distant lands. And which farmer wants to produce something he isn't getting paid for?

Hmm... I went off topic a bit.

Green Peace have no idea what they are talking about. Saying "we don't know the consequences" (crap de spelling) is just stupid. What if someone had said "we don't know the consequences of using antibiotics" or "we don't know the consequences of electricety"?

If a GMOspread cross the globe and whipe out lots of other creatures is no big deal. If it manages to do that it is superior and deserve it's place in nature.
