Photosynthesis + Respiration Help...?

Post by buckeye213 » Tue Dec 06, 2005 9:50 pm

Can someone please answer these questions!

1. What is respiration without the process of energy called?
2. What is the compound that is the purpose of photosynthesis?
3. Respiration with the presents of oxygen is called what?
4. Examples of organisms that can carry on photosynthesis?
5. These produce the amount of activation energy needed by a reaction, and therefore speed it up. What is it?
6. The process of breaking down organic compounds to release ATP is called what?

Also, could someone help me differentiate these charteristics of photosynthesis and respiration?

Just put P for photosynthesis, R for respiration or B for both

1. Occurs in bacteria cell:
2. Occurs during the day
3. Use only inorganic chemicals to make food
4. Carbon Dioxide is made
5. Water is made
6. Sunlight is trapped
7. Can occur in chloroplast?
8. Building of glucose from light
9. Oxygen is made
10. Occurs with producers
11. Occurs in blue-green bacteria
12. Occurs during night
13. Needs ribosomes
14. Carbon Dioxide is used
15. Water is used
16. Can occur in mitochondria
17. Can occur in cytoplasm
18. Glucose is used or digested for ATP
19. Oxygen is used
20. Occurs with consumers

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Your home works are yours to do. Suggest your answers and we may help. But start reading your text book, you'll find most of the answer there.

well, try googleing it, then come back after you have searched every link and still found nothing on one of the topics. (exaggerating on every link, just look as much as you can stand, I'll bet I could find them all in 15 min., MAX)

Even if it is not homeworks most (all?) of those questions are extremly basic. i could give you the answer, but you wouldn't learn for your test. A contrario if you actively read and understand enough of the mechanism of respiration and photosynthesis, that will mean that you know at least a few things for your test. I guess that by simply reading definitions in our dictionnary, browsing our tutorials, or lokking up in the wikipedia you'll have all answers in less than 20 minutes.

Good luck
