Transpiration?

Post by rockchick41 » Thu Mar 03, 2005 9:25 pm

Why, if there is vaseline on the lower/upper epidermis of a leaf, will the water loss be greater after a certain period of time?

because i'm special, thats why
but really, isn't vasoline somewhere along the lines of absorbant? So if the vasoline contains to much water, wouldn't it leak out the opposite side?

I always thought of vaseline as a moisturizer. It should seal the water inside the leaf.
