trends of vertebrate evolution

Post by cheer4life90 » Wed Nov 30, 2005 5:11 am

can u please tell me if all of these are trends of vertebrate evolution and if one isn't can u please tell me which one it it so that i can do some more research on it?

1Conversion of the support for locomotion from the notochord to the vertebral column
2) Expansion of the nerve cord to form the brain and spinal cord
3) Changes in the Respiratory system form gills to lungs with accompanying changes in the circulatory system
4) Increases in size, speed, strength, and physical processes
5) Modification of limbs for more efficient movement

Thanx a lot,
:) Ashley

I don't know about 4) size...
If you can explain to why big animals are more succesful than small ones you will get the nobel prize.

Actually i think small animals are more succesful, or at least more able to survive in case of desasters...
