What is pectin, hemicellulose and lignin and....???

Post by NarutardedNinja » Thu Sep 26, 2013 4:06 pm

and what is their importance in plant cell wall???...

I know the primary cell wall of plants contains more amount of cellulose, pectin and hemicellulose and secondary cell wall contains more lignin, but I can't seem to understand their significance there...like what role, specific to only plant cell wall, in relation to their structure do they all perform??

Please give me an answer to that is related ONLY to the plant cell wall, not any other role of theirs in anything else...I've tried to do my research but all I get is their importance in food products of daily life and stuff...not related to the plant cell wall...

please don't use so difficult language that I'm unable to understand what you're talking about...use simple, easy language please(which a 15 year old student can easily understand)....
