I can't help with the programming, but for ideas on how to design your key(s), you can look at the many online or print keys available.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

Both text and pictures including plants anatomy and features. Identification will also based on geographical location of species. We are going to have botanist and researchers all over the continent and also good reference. As for the programming you can leave that to our team all i just need is your support and contributions. Thanks

You may use next generation sequencing to get its genome and compare the genome to known plant genomes.
We indeed started a company providing such service: http://www.quickbiology.com. Not only helps to identify plants but also pathogens.

I don't have very good advice, but I know there is a website that sells natural plant extracts.
