Help with Spider Identification

Post by GeoCaster » Sun Sep 01, 2013 7:31 pm

Hi, Me and my Girlfriend are hoping someone here will be able to help find out what kind of spider this is.
Got the pictures just after sunrise in macro mode from 2'' to 8'' in away.
The spider has a web next to my bamboo area, The spiders and other insect's seem to love the bamboo.

It is a Subadult male tropical Orb weaver, (Eriophora ravilla) I am not to clued up on American species, I focus my attention on the AU species although a few get a mention on one of my websites http://www.waystogetridofspiders.com (I just had to sneak that link in for Google SERPS :)) anyway pretty sure it is this bloke here http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/misc/spiders/tropical_orb_weaver.htm what ya think?
