going back to a former comment, I think that even still (having huge concentrations of Nitrogen in the water) would not have a huge effect because there are Nitrogen fixing bacterium in the water and they will pass it into the nearby silt that is washed up on the banks for use by the plants, maybe I'm wrong in saying that because if it is enough, won't it overtake the bacterium and even still have an effect on the water/fish? (Ow, my brain hurts.)

if i do not wrong there should be a university in east java(i and victor,.. dr. stein maybe(?) are in java. i take the nearest place) exploring about that.
and actually at that place, as i know there are many factories. and those factories has the recycling system for their waste.
