Is it more efficient (to extract oxygen) to move water slowly over fish gills or fast?

It depends on how much movement you are talking about... if they are moving slowly then they are using less eich means the method you are talking about could work

Yeah, slowly is better, since the oxigen will ahve more time to diffuse. But how can you control how fast move the water withing their guils?
