Photosynthesis and Cellular respiration

Post by lilskip » Tue Nov 15, 2005 7:34 am

Hi Folks,
I've tried to search around if this has come up before, but I coudln't find anything. I have a test tomorrow and I jsut know that it's going to ask how the cellular respiration reaction is similar to that of photosynthesis. I've just gone blank.
Thanks anyone!

Both are catalysed by many enzymes.

Cellular respiration takes place day and night, photosynthesis only daytime. They're kind of reverse reactions, but the energy involved is different. Photosynthesis is anabolic, respiration is catabolic. That's all I can remember right now...

not quite. CAM plants do part of their photosynthesis at night...
