Plant tissue Culture Help

Post by Geordie Boy » Fri Nov 11, 2005 12:55 pm

Hi all

I hope someone can help me, i have a practical write-up in which i have to briefly identify a role for each of the micro and macroelements in Murashige and skoog culture medium.

Can anyone direct me to a websource where i might get this info?

I found plenty of sites willing to tell me whats in it but none to tell me what the components do.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you can easily get these knowledge by google search.
The role of micro and macroelements in Murashige and skoog culture medium generally like their roles in nature.
Try again (search by yourself), tell me your plant that you are studying and I 'll give you some exception, Ok
Good luck to you.

Thanks.

Its actually a carrot in a tub we have to observe. I changed degree courses and missed the actual practical so i feel a bit lost.

Not to mention that my biology background is entirely human so i am kind of starting from scratch here:)

Its the microelements i am having bother with.

Iodene
Boric acid
Copper sulphate
Manganese
Zinc
Cobalt

Grrrrr its one of those assignments where you get no help whatsoever. You get five questions worth 20 marks each and no lecture to go with it.

If you ask me it encourages plagarism
