TAXONOMY

i have lately be reading about taxonomy.....an iinteresting bit of info that i wud like to share.....before 1750s the polynomial nomenclature were in use.the names of species were real lenthy eg caryophyllum was called 'Caryophyllum sextilis folis gramineus umbellitis corymbis'.thanks to Carolus Linnaeus who introduced the binomial system.
