I need help identidying a plant

Post by PlantTheMan » Fri Jul 20, 2012 9:17 pm

Hello
I have a picture and I think the word "African" is in the common name of the plant. It will bloom with little pink/lavender flowers sometimes. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think this is African. Based on the flowers I would say Hibiscus. But no guarantee, the quality is too low.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

JackBean, would it help to know that the plant had a strong fragrance? Sadly I I do not have a better picture as the plant has died.

Although the photo quality makes it difficult to tell, I am pretty sure it's a member of the Buttercup Family, Ranunculaceae. It looks like it may be a species of the Genus Anemone.
