Enzyme binds to substrate......

Post by segarama » Mon Oct 31, 2005 7:58 pm

Retrieved from the internet on October 31, 2005.

URL: Example model 3. Equilibrium binding

This example derives a very common model that describes equilibrium binding (or enzyme kinetics). Deriving this model does not require any calculus! When a ligand interacts with a receptor, or when a substrate interacts with an enzyme, the binding follows the law of mass action.

Best,
Rob :)

In addition to the prior answer I gave on enzyme binding to substrates, I retrieved a more comprehensive URL on line October 31, 2005.
