Please help me about pinocytosis

He has a point, here, the question is poorly worded and uselessly deceptive. Not a very pedagogical thing to do.
As a proof, see how Mona is confused, while knowing the right answer. Textbook fail, if you want my opinion.

It may be that the cell releases certain enzymes that tell the cell it needs to accomplish pinocytosis when certain molecules are around. For example, when cells are receiving messages from the brain, enzymes are sent along with it to initiate pinocytosis so the cell takes in the message. It's only a guess, but it all has to do with enzymes, normally.
