In a mouse cell at the start of mitosis, how many chromatids are present?

wikipedia should help.

40 chromosomes per mouse cell.

mitosis is normal cell division.

so there are 40 at the end.

it says at the start. which to me, a geneticist, is the same as the end, in many ways...don't blame me though, ask mom.
