Pedigree Analysis

Post by purplec16 » Thu Sep 08, 2011 6:07 pm

I have to do a pedigree analysis up to my 3rd generation in my family and I'm wondering if I have to, or how do I show my mother's and father's parent...or do I just show the generation of the trait/disease I'm representing

how would you like to show them? Just use the rules for pedigree charts.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

You'll show your grandparents the same way you showed yourself beneath your parents. That is, you dad is the child or your grandparents just as you are the child of your parents. There's no difference except that your grandparents will be on the top with your parents (and aunts and uncles) in the second row, with you and your siblings (and your cousins if you want to get detailed) on the bottom.
