Healing humanskin through Duct tape

Post by hurly » Sun Sep 04, 2005 3:36 pm

Is this phenomenon true or false?
Ever since I got the foot wart virus (http://www.biology-online.org/biology-forum/viewtopic.php?t=2159), I've been doing intensive google searching for a cure. As a result, I have now come over several pages and forums stating that cracked skins/callus/warts can be healed by using the so-called 'Duct'-tapes. They also claim that the tape prevents the virus/skincells from getting oxygen and that way 'choke/kill' them.

Other people have also said that using banana peel on the infected area will heal and kill the virus.

Can somebody confirm all of these rumors? I want to believe it badly, but not sure... It maybe true since so many people have said the same thing... Hmmm...
What exactly does the banana peel contain...?

Actually the idead behind using duct tape on a wart is to irritate the area so the body will launch an immune response to that area. Not really recommended.. well at least I wouldn't do it..
changing the world, one molecule at a time..
