Chloroform and RNA isolation

Post by magnolia » Thu Jun 16, 2011 11:22 am

Hello everyone!

I need to isolate RNA using PureLink RNA Mini Kit, but the leaves that I'm doing the isolation from will be treated with Chloroform beforehand (CHCl3-dip). Will this interfere with the RNA isolation procedure?

Thanks!

Actually, it's dichloromethane dip (CH2Cl2). Sorry...

First of all, do you know what's the purpose of CH2Cl2 treatment?
