Definitely agree with Jack here! Carbon atoms and CO2 are the by-products of the redox reactions, and are not being oxidized or reduced. Look at the coenzymes involved during cellular respiration, which are being oxidized or reduced.
Hint: What gains electrons (reduction), and what loses electrons (oxidation). Also with each gain or loss of electrons remember an H+ ion is being gained or lost.
