DIFFUSION AND SURFAVE AREA TO VOLUME RATIO

ok i have a worksheet with two pictures. one with a leaf and one with mitochondrion. my question is from the point of view of diffusion, explain how the structure of each of these living things is ideally suited to surive and do the job they are designed to do? PLEASE HELP!!! :D

List their job, and the requirements. compare structure of the two and if you think of your title it might help
