how does plasmid express in eukaryotes ?

Post by yissa » Sat Nov 06, 2010 3:21 pm

As we know Prokaryotes always has plasmids in , expression of gene carried by plasmid is transcripted by RNA polymerase. When we transfer plasmid to the cell of eukaryotes in transfection,it also can express without the systerm of transcription and translation in Prokaryote. It is well known that this two systerm in Prokaryotes and eukaryotes are different.
puzzle one :how dost plasmid chieve this ?
puzzle two:are both strands of plasmid transcripted?when i see Plasmid profile,i find it always has two different direction.
help!
