I am a high school freshman trying to find out if a plant and an animal can survive together in a closed container - this is an essay lab ? and I cannot find any info at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS.

Yes, it's possible. Many factors will determine the specific outcome, including the size of both the plant and the animal, and whether one will eat the other.
