stem model help?

Post by Biorandom » Sat Oct 16, 2010 12:04 am

How could I make a working "phloem tube"? I need to be able to passively transport syrup up and down a tube. AKA, no pumps or myself moving things during the processes. I thought about a siphon, but I wouldn't know how to make the water go back up once we siphoned downward. Thanks.

1) you're talking about xylem, not phloem

2) the xylem works thanks to water evaporation in the leaves as well.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
