Suppose the movement of three protons were required for the synthesis of one ATP molecule. Calculate the energy released by the passage of three protons into the matrix.

You should know the energy for the synthesis of one ATP molecule. If you admit (it is probably not entirely true, but that will give you a minimal value) a 100% conversion efficiency, calculate the enrgy released...
