Screening for gene in genomic library

Post by klapausius » Sun Oct 03, 2010 10:11 am

A genomic library of human cells can be screened for a gene x using all the following methods except
1) DNA gel probed with gene X DNA probe
2) DNA gel probed with gene x RNA probe
3) Protein gel probed with antibody against the protein x
4) PCR with specific primers against gene x

my guess is 3) since we are talikng about genomic library i dont see how we can use protein
im not sure of if this is correct though..

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
