Question about arabidopsis BAC clone
The name of arabidopsis BAC clone is usually similar like T4I9, T27G7,
but sometimes we see T4I9.2, T27G7.4. I am puzzled about this, so what is this meaning?
Thank you very much!

if you mean the number like *.2 or *.4, that should mean version of the sequence. It has been probably re-sequenced and they found some mistake, so uploaded new version of the sequence (they can't keep the same number, because those, who downloaded it before, would not know, there is a new version
and also, the mistake may not be sequencing mistake, but might have biological meaning;).
