Morgellons
All I have tosay is, how come every single freakin person that claims to have Morgellons has the exact same kind of materials coming from their skin??? I know what I feel in my own #%^&ing body.

I do not caim to know much about morgellons, but this prompted me to do some reading. I read in a few places that often the symptoms of morgellons coincide with those of lyme disease. If lyme disease lowered immunity, then it would allow opportunistic agents to infect the person. The fibers might be a result of lateral gene transfer from Agrobacterium. I read in several places that fiber analysis was inconclusive, and some findings contradicted one another. Agrobacterium might make a person produce cellulose fibers. People do have the necessary components as it is just alternating sugars.
Basically, maybe they are all the same because it IS coming from an organism.

apparently some people think it's possible

or just google it. it seems an interesting idea.

The problem is that the source and the authors are not what I would call highly reliable. Mae Wan Ho made a name anti-GMO research and did not always resort to good science. I would be careful.
As for the morgellons syndrom, it is obvious that those people have something weird but I am not qualified to diagnose or even remotely identify. nor can anybody do such thing over the internet. And the problem is that it attracts many crackpots with weird theories putting science not even in the backseat, but somewhere on the roadside and going as fast as they could away from it that nothing can be done. And the past behaviour of some sufferers and crackpots on this site make any discussion on the subject very unwelcome.
For the moment I will ignore the few threads where people hope that a few pictures of weird things can be identified over the internet, but be warned that I will keep a careful eye on those and that everything will be locked if those turns again even close to the mess it had caused in the past.

Haha...
I did realize that none of their claims were reliable or even necessarily backed up. But is it true what they said about the agrobacteria?

If it were, do you think it's possible?

I did not say that. Just that they should be take with a grain of salt.
For example in the link you give, if you read the account given on I-sis and the conclusion of the paper [1] you will see that there is a difference between the conclusion that are reached. However the point is valid and worth investigating. But it is always worth remembering that there are quite a lot of differences between what happens on a Petri dish and what happens in real life. As many failed miracle cures have proved again and again.
