JackBean's Concanavalin A

Post by JackBean » Sun Apr 11, 2010 2:10 pm

This month PDB's structure is the Concanavalin A from JackBean :-P
For more info see

There's interesting reading about permutating genes and proteins, look also to the other pages, where you can see actual work done by scientists in permuting the glucanase protein.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

How do you think they make the jump from protein permutation to genome permutation? Or do you think they remain exclusive?

No, no :) I just went to PDB for something and found, that it's the Molecule of Month :o))

As I mentioned several times, JackBean is the name of organism from which is Concanavalin ;)
