Starch & cellulose???

Post by biolanton » Wed Jan 27, 2010 5:47 am

Hey all,

what are the physiological properties of starch and cellulose, and how are these properties related to the functions of these two compounds in plant cells? How does a knowledge of the chemical structure of starch and cellulose help to explain the physical properties?

If you could help i would be grateful...

Look, whit which bond are conected adjacent Glc residues in both polysaccharides and how is this related to the structure (esp. the availability of H-bonding)
