CTLA-4

Post by ele » Wed Jan 13, 2010 11:42 am

As we know CTLA-4 gene consists of four exons. I read that the first exon contains the leader peptide sequence....but what does the leader peptide do? Signal peptide is in the beginning of the sequence of coding protein...but leader peptide....

Can anyone tell?
