Ever get the feeling you are sat on the shelf of someone's lab?

I mean, if i wanted to do some experimenting, i'd probably want some sort of surface on which to perform my experiment (preferably enclosed in vacuum), some heat and light, and some way of introducing small amounts of foreign material. And i want to do billions of experiments all at the same time because i am a busy man.
