Because it is Christmastime, I want you to analyze the "Christmas Spirit" from a scientific standpoint. This is not some whim or demand, it is simply an invitation.
It is naive to think that the whole universe must conform to the sciences devised by the inhabitants of a single planet.

Well, i don't have Christmas spirit, so i wouldn't know how to describe it.
