How many effector axons are in the body?

Post by Odisej » Sat Jul 16, 2005 9:07 pm

What is the total number of effector cells in the body (muscules and organs). It would be nice if somebody can tell me number of these axons by each nerve (cranial or spinal).

I have no idea. If you decided to count them, be sure you don't count nerve fibers as well, because their structure is similar to axon as well as the function, as an effector. good luck on counting
