Creationists on campus tomorrow

Post by IanCoffee » Wed Nov 18, 2009 10:35 pm

Hi,

In case you've missed the YouTube video going around, minister Ray Comfort is organizing a big creationist give-away on US campuses tomorrow. He's reprinted Darwin's Origin of Species, adding his own creationist intro. The video mentions that he's coming to the top 50 campuses, but he has expanded his scope to the top 100. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GN9zpf5cT0M

I got a copy of his book last month, and have put together a page-by-page counter essay. His book is
creationism at its worst; not only does he try to disprove the fossil record and DNA results, he also claims associations between Darwin and Hitler. The link to my essay is below. If you are on one of these campuses, I'd appreciate it if you could pass it around. Thanks!

I've heard about this, though he probably isn't coming to my campus (North Dakota is too far north and too cold). I have a question... this version of On the Origin of Species is said to be "abridged." What did they leave out?

I got one the other day. I think the problem is people won't actually read darwin's writings because it's easier to just read the intro.

Well, just when talking about Origin of species, I looked to our University Library and the only original copy is at TEOLOGICAL faculty
There are only some more translations, but who knows, how good are they? :-/

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
